Guest house and hotel

It’s a 60-bedroom hotel in the heart of the business district Sandton, the hotel was already providing password access Wi-Fi to their guests but found that the network was consistently congested due to high data user on their network deteriorating service to business clients needing the Wi-Fi to conduct business.


The perfect solution was a Intellifi Hotspot 500 Device in this place. The hotel already had Fiber but their network infrastructure was dated, we supplied them with business grade internet and installed an access point along with a wall boxed network point in every room upgrading their network from CAT5 to CAT6 and exchanging all infrastructure from 100Mbps to 1Gbps networking equipment. Intellifi’s Wi-Fi management software was installed along with their voucher system to buy Wi-Fi access from the landing page.

Now whenever someone connects to their Wi-Fi or plugges their laptop into the wall box network point in the room, no password is required, and the guests are automatically redirected to the hotels landing page where they are prompted to either have access to the free Wi-Fi which is only fast enough for basic browsing and video calls or to purchase high speed access vouchers should the guest have the need for gigabit speeds. The hotel also display their menu’s specials and capture their customers data before granting them internet access.
